Connor Zilisch and Shane van Gisbergen battled all the way to the checkered flag on Saturday in the Pit Box/Food Maxx 250 at Sonoma Raceway on Saturday, including a spirited tussle over the final handful of laps that saw the teammates trading paint all the way around the 1.99-mile road course.
Zilisch and van Gisbergen were the class of the field, leading all but nine of the race’s 79 laps, with Zilisch leading 46 and van Gisbergen 24.
van Gisbergen ultimately finished second in the Xfinity race.
